Flood Study For conceptual development plan near Dharoi dam - Gujarat

The objective of this study was to evaluate the impacts in the vicinity by varying discharge from hydraulic structures. The study was proposed to undertake the flood analysis for visualization of flood information to prepare, the conceptual development plan to derive structural sizes of water-retaining elements like retaining walls and barrage.

The downstream of the Dharoi dam has opened to front development with the possibility of a new tourism avenue. The dam is a gravity dam on the Sabarmati River near Dharoi, Mehsana district of northern Gujarat in India on 24.0043° N, 72.8537° E coordinates. The dam was constructed in 1978, for irrigation, power generation, and flood control.
